THEY WERE ALL THERE… Superhot SuperModel
Selita
Ebanks, set male hears
aflutter. Three of cable TV's hottest men had women racing
for their handheld fans...
Damages, Noah Bean,
Nip-Tuck and now Unforgettable's Dylan Walsh,
and
Mad Men's Bryan Batt
provided in person charm galore.
Holt McCallany, star
of
The
Gangster Squad was excited to
meet his new co-star
Anthony Mackie. They
were joined by
Dr. Ruth,
Olympic boxer
Eric Kelly and
football great
David
Tyree. There was a ton of star power at the
Children of the City Gala last night on Chelsea Piers
LIGHTHOUSE. The celebrities were celebrating along with
founder
Joyce Mattera
30 years of rescuing some of the city's
most at risk children. "Thirty years ago I saw these
hurting children and knew I had to do something to help.
Over the years, so many celebrities have joined in helping
rescue our most at risk children," Joyce told the crowd, and
last night was no exception.
Since
1981, Children of the
City has been serving the underprivileged
children in Sunset
Park, Brooklyn. Starting out as a children’s prevention
outreach in the early years, services have evolved to
include educational support, counseling and mentorship,
financial and career guidance, legal guardianship, social
and life skills training, and much more. Over one thousand
children are visited every single month. Services are
provided to hundreds on a daily and weekly basis and
additional referrals are made to connect the
children and
their families with partnering agencies, all with the goal
to help them break the cycles of poverty and abuse.
A
wonderful evening was had by all!
