"Dear everybody involved ,including Nancy
It was an honor
and a pleasure to be involved with this
organization and event.
From the moment
everybody walked into the room last night the
love in the air was felt by all.
Everything was
outstanding , from the set up of the silent
auction, the entertainment , the sincere ,
heartfelt and moving speeches and especially the
wonderful people that came to support all of
you.
I can only hope
that through everybody's efforts it will make a
difference that others wont have to go through
the pain and suffering that some of you have
gone through.
I humbly thank
you for letting
me get involved.

NMA's third annual Give Kids A Shot! Gala was held on April
25, 2011 at the New York Athletic Club in New York City.
This signature fundraising event helps NMA continue and
expand its vital work in the fight against meningitis.
Ambassador John L. Loeb, Jr. and Nick Springer were the
Honorary Chairs of the Gala.
The event honored former New York Giants Football great
Bart Oates and his wife Michelle for their 25 year
commitment to Pediatric Neurological Research with the
Children’s Advocacy Award. Also honored were James C.
Turner, M.D., Professor of Internal Medicine, University of
Virginia, for his outstanding leadership in meningococcal
disease awareness and prevention with the Health Achievement
Award; Richard Thomas, iconic actor of stage, screen and
television, for his long standing support of NMA received
the Nancy Ford Springer Inspiration Award; Chau-Giang
Thi Nguyen, was honored with the International
Ambassador of Education Through Music Award for her
global charitable efforts through her music, "American
Friends of Vietnam" .
Two-time Tony winner James Naughton served as Master
of Ceremonies and gave a special performance. Chairs were
Sara Herbert-Galloway and Gary Springer, Springer Associates
PR, Vice Chairs were Lenore Cooney, Cooney/Waters Group and
Barry Klarberg, Monarch Wealth & Business Management.
