The Children's Memorial Hospital Pro Amateur Golf Championship to Mark 50 Years of Philanthropy with a Golden Celebration June 26, 2010
What: The Children's Memorial Hospital Pro Amateur Golf Championship will mark 50 years of philanthropy with a spectacular Golden Celebration in June 2010 as part of the 50th edition of The Pro Am, which is the second oldest event of its kind in the U.S.
Who: The Pro Am is Chicago's most anticipated charity golf event with hundreds of business leaders and golf enthusiasts taking part each year, along with golf professionals from the nation's most prestigious country clubs. Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriquez, Jack Nicklaus, Homero Blancas, Gene Sarazen and Lee Trevino are just a few of the golf professionals who have participated in years past.
Why: As the signature fundraising event of the Founders Board of Children's Memorial, the Pro Am has raised more than $12 million for the renowned pediatric hospital in the last decade alone. This year's event is expected to raise more than $1 million to benefit the children and families served by Children's Memorial.
When: A spectacular Golden Celebration is planned for the evening of Saturday, June 26, 2010. The 50th Annual Pro Am Golf Championship will follow on Monday, June 28, 2010.
Where: Both events will take place at the Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest, Illinois.
Tickets: Tickets for the Golden Celebration are available online at www.childrensmemorial.org (search word: 'Pro Am'). For corporate sponsorships, corporate tables or golfer information, please contact Katie Spieth at 773.880.6307 or kspieth@childrensmemorial.org
