Wednesday, May 5, 2010, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm,
The 28th Annual Frederick Law Olmsted Awards
Luncheon will be hosted by of the Women’s Committee
of the Central Park Conservancy in Central Park's
Conservatory Garden, Fifth Avenue at 105th Street.
The Women’s Committee President is Gillian Miniter.
The Luncheon Co-Chairs are Noreen Buckfire, Anne
Harrison, Marcia Mishaan, and Sarah Robertson. The
Corporate Chairman is Thomas Glocer, Chairman and
CEO of Thomson Reuters. The Honorees are Betsy
Messerschmitt and Patsy and Jeff Tarr. Over 1,200
guests are expected. Funds raised go to the
Conservancy’s work throughout Central Park making it
beautiful, safe and clean. Tickets are by invitation

The Frederick Law Olmsted Awards
Luncheon (often called "FLO") began twenty-eight
years ago when a group of seventy-five women held a
luncheon at Tavern on the Green to increase
awareness from the private sector to support the
restoration of Central Park. Over the years, the
Luncheon has grown to over 1,200 guests and moved to
the Conservatory Garden. Each year the event honors
private and civic leaders for their involvement in
the restoration and maintenance of Central Park.
This Luncheon has become the signature event of the
Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy,
and one of New York City’s premier social events of
the year. The event has sold out for years, raising
millions of dollars for the care of the Park.
