Lin Evola, the charity’s founder and lead artist, will be on hand to answer guests’ questions and provide information on the organization.

“We are delighted to be a part of Couture Fashion Week,”
notes Lin Evola. “This is an amazing opportunity for the charity to
promote our cause of transforming illegal firearms into inspirational art
at an event such as this, where we will be surrounded with other great
artists and designers.

 I must thank Couture Fashion Week producer Andres Aquino and
 Gerard McKeon of Black Tie Magazine for allotting us this opportunity.”

The Art of Peace Charitable Trust and Black Tie Magazine have a lasting relationship that dates back to 2001when Black Tie covered an event in which former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani was given the one foot Peace Angel Award for his efforts following 9/11. Over the ensuing decade the relationship has continued to grow and flourish.

The Art of Peace Charitable Trust evolved from the Peace Angels Project, which was founded in 1992.  AOPCT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public interest by interrupting the cycle of violence and actualizing change on a local, regional and national basis. AOPCT works with local, federal, and international government agencies to gather surrendered illegal firearms and nuclear weapons casings to
melt them down and create inspirational public monuments.
