This exciting event celebrates fashion and songs as only the Broadway community can. Broadway divas and divos will deliver their signature Broadway hits, dressed in spectacular couture gowns and suits, personally chosen for each star by Carson. Al D. Rodriguez ? actor, artist, son and friend - was known for his signature wit, irresistible charm and undying love for musical theater. He was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer on June 13, 2008. Even as a working actor, Al most often lacked health insurance, and was unaware that his body was fighting liver disease since the age of 18, when he was diagnosed with the Hepatitis-B virus. Six short weeks later, on July 30, at the young age of 45, Al lost his fight against this devastating disease. Al?s premature death left his closest circle of friends reeling in pain and grief. Out of love for their dear friend and a need to be more informed about Hepatitis B and liver cancer, they formed a foundation in his name.

The mission of the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation is to educate people about the relationship between chronic infection of the Hepatitis virus and its association with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) which is the most common cause of liver cancer.

The ADRLF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in memory of Al D. Rodriguez. We will demonstrate our commitment to Al by: fostering education through links on our website about timely and relevant articles; connecting people to health care resources that do not discriminate based on the inability to pay; strengthening our relationships with performing artists through staged readings and benefit fundraisers; support community health organizations that provide Hepatitis screenings; invest in grass roots clinics that provide free or low cost health care to their communities; and providing universal education about antiviral therapies for the Hepatitis virus.

The ADRLF is extremely thrilled to share this special night in honor of their dear friend Al D. Rodriguez's life.
