The Global Partnerships Forum (GPF)
is a
non-profit platform bringing together global leaders and
international experts from the public and private sectors to
address the Millennium Development Goals and other pressing
global challenges, through mutually beneficial
partnerships.
GPF works closely with the United Nations System and other
international institutions to engage state and non-state
actors to
Invest in People
and encourage the private sector to move beyond the triple
bottom line,
to foster economic growth as well as social impact.

Strategic Partners
British Council
GPF is working with the British Council to foster
partnerships
with youth and sport initiatives, in
the Middle East and North Africa and with the UN System.
Dalberg
GPF is working with Dalberg to facilitate partnerships to
launch a Global Democracy movement, as well engage
prospective partners for country specific development
reports for Africa.
Microsoft
Microsoft is advising GPF on developing a ‘Network of
Experts’ to support economic and social projects, as well as
an interactive database
of partnerships.
New York Academy of Sciences
GPF is collaborating with NYAS to develop new partnerships
and expand its network globally, including Scientists
Without Borders.
Pearl Initiative
GPF and Crescent Petroleum, co-founded Pearl Initiative, a
private sector led platform in the Gulf Cooperation Council,
to create a greater culture of transparency and
accountability in theGulf.
It is under patronage of HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohamad Al-Qasimi,
Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE and Ruler of Sharjah,
with HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of
Higher Education of the UAE, as Honorary Chairman.

GPF serves a Strategic Partner for Row6, helping it develop
a comprehensive partnership strategy, as well as performing
advocacy and outreach.
Partnership Facilitation
Dow Chemical
Dow and GPF are exploring potential collaboration in the
East African Community, as well as a partnership with the
Dow Sustainability Corp.
Sabin Vaccine Institute
GPF is working with the Sabin Vaccine Institute to
facilitate new partnerships for Neglected Tropical Diseases.
UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs
GPF is cultivating a community of influence for UN-OCHA:
‘Global Humanitarians’, consisting of leaders from the
private sector and civil society. The group will provide
strategic advice on
resource mobilization and outreach in times of emergencies
and disasters.
Dialogues, Forums, Roundtables and Other Events
AECOM
GPF briefed AECOM’s Senior Executives on strategies for
partnerships with the UN, including using the leadership of
the private sector
to support social causes.
African Heads of State and Government Investment Working
Lunch
GPF collaborated with Africa Investor and the UN Office of
the Special Adviser on Africa on a high-level luncheon for
African Heads of State at the New York Stock Exchange.
Aspen Creative Arts World Summit
GPF participated in the Creative Arts World Summit in
Muscat, Oman.
CITYarts
GPF and CITYarts have launched “Vision 20:20” to facilitate
partnerships in the Middle East.
First Global Symposium on Gender in Media
GPF, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media,
Independent Television Service and Women and Girls Lead
co-hosted the First Global Symposium on Gender in Media
on September 23rd, to spotlight a new global research project
on perceptions of gender in media.
Geneva Dialogue
GPF, the Novartis Foundation for Sustainable Development and
the Graduate Institute of International and Development
Studies in Geneva
co-hosted a Dialogue on ‘Multi-stakeholderdiplomacy:
Partnerships to reach the health-related Millennium
Development Goals’.
Gerson Lehrman Group
GPF collaborated with G+, the Gerson Lehrman Group’s
health initiative, for the ‘G+ Vaccines Dialogue’, bringing
together thought leaders to discuss strategies for
innovative solutions.
Human Development Report Office
GPF co-hosted a high-level dialogue on October 14th with the
Human Development Report Office, on incorporating
the Human Development approach into policy making.
CANTO - IDB Broadband Forum
GPF gave the keynote address at the CANTO/IDB Broadband
Forum on Accelerating Broadband development in the Caribbean
on November 7th.
Interbrand
GPF, Interbrand, and the Secretary-General of the Fourth UN
Least Developed Countries Summit hosted a high-level panel in
Istanbul,
on Country Branding.
GPF and Interbrand launched Best Global Green Brands 2011
report at the UN in September.
International Widows’ Day
Amir Dossal joined the First Lady of Gabon, Dr. Michelle
Bachelet, Mrs. Cherie Blair, Mrs. BanSoon Taek, Lord Raj
Loomba, and other
dignatories to commemorate
the First International Widows’ Day,
at the United Nations,
on Thursday, 23rd June 2011.
Kupona Foundation
GPF hosted a high-level event in honor of Kupona President,
Ambassador Peter Maddens, to
raise awareness and engage potential sponsors
for their hospitals & health programs in Tanzania.
LDC Summit
Amir Dossal served as Master of Ceremonies for opening of
the Fourth UN Least Developed Countries Summit in Turkey.
GPF also participated in the Thematic Dialogue on Governance
and Transparency.
Maldives Delegation
GPF hosted dialogues with Foundations and Companies for the
Foreign Minister of Maldives and a delegation of private
sector leaders to discuss strengthening democratic
governance and fostering economic growth, and to attract FDI,
as well as support for social programs.
MetLife
Amir Dossal gave the keynote at a MetLife Summit for Senior
Executives and business partners.
Miss China Universe
GPF advised Miss Universe China and her delegation on
engaging young people for the MDGs.
Women: Inspiration & Entertainment Symposium
GPF participated in the WIE Symposium panel titled,
‘Philanthropy in the Creative Community’.
Strategic Advisory Services
Global Alliance for Innovation in Neuroscience (GAIN)
GPF is advising GAIN on setting up a global network,
including develop new partnerships.
Institute for International Sport
GPF advised the IIS on its program for the World Youth Peace
Summit; moderated the panel,
“Voices of the UN”;
and led a workshop on partnerships at the Summit.
Amir Dossal delivered the keynote address at
the World-Scholar Athlete Games.
UN Public Private Partnership on ICT
GPF is assisting the Chief Information Technology Officer of
the United Nations to develop a Public Private Partnership
for ICTs, to enable use of innovative technologies to
enhance the Secretariat
and also support UN programs.
10x10
GPF is advising 10x10 to facilitate new partnerships
and providing strategic advice to advance its global
campaign.
