International philanthropist and global icon Meera Gandhi has played many roles over the course of her life. As the founder and CEO of The Giving Back Foundation, Meera has travelled the world in service of the underprivileged. As a former volunteer at Ashadaan, she learnt the joy of self-sacrifice from Mother Teresa herself. As a mother, she raised her three children while successfully managing her philanthropic, business and social engagements.

was voted the most influential philanthropist at the Filmfare
Middle East awards last night in Dubai.

Meera Gandhi Accompanied by her parents and brothers family and friends Medha Jaishankar who flew to Dubai from LA and Monika Patel from NY all joined for this very special night
 in Dubai!

Speaking on stage Meera said, “ Mental illness is a serious problem on the planet. Too many people are stressed. This is not the way life was meant to be lived."

The Giving Back Foundation provides tools each day like podcasts, Instagram series and Meera’s new book 3 Tips,
the essentials to peace, joy and success and  retreats  all designed to give everyone the tools to live a more stress free and peaceful life.

Meera’s speech received a standing ovation as many guests in the audience said they could not agree more.

Meera Gandhi ended her speech with her well known motto, 
which she coined in 2010,

 “ We are to the universe only as much as we give back to it”
