The 92nd Annual Drama League Awards
Luncheon
The Drama League Awards continue
to celebrate excellence in
American theater while supporting the
next generation of stage directors
through its renowned Directors
Project.
Proceeds from the annual event directly
benefit the
Drama League Directing Fellows
programs, which provide fellowships,
residencies, assistantships, and
international exchange opportunities for
emerging artists.
Major sponsors supporting this year’s
celebration included
J P Morgan and BroadwayHD.
The organization’s leadership includes
President Bonnie Comley, Executive
Director Bevin Ross, Artistic Director
Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Vice Presidents
Kumiko Yoshii, Sarah Hutton, Mary Jain,
and Darin Oduyoye, Secretary Irene
Gandy, Treasurer Trish Chambers, and
Board Members Elena Araoz, Sydney Beers,
Estefanía Fadul, Una Jackman, Jennifer
Johnson-Blalock, Paula Kaminsky Davis,
Anne Kauffman, Michelle Martello,
Frederic J. Siegel, and Panney Wei.
The Drama League also announced
its 2026 directing fellows and
residents, including Tatiana Baccari,
Emilia Lirman, Bronwen Carson, Liz
Fisher, Rebecca Wear, Juliana Morales
Carreño, Pria Dahiya, Charlique C. Rolle,
Stephen Sapp, Alex Keegan, Adrian Alea,
Rory Pelsue, Liz Carlson, Alisha
Espinosa, Irvin Mason Jr., Aileen Wen
McGroddy, Caitlin Sullivan, Melissa
Crespo,
and Felicia Lobo.
Among the 2026 Drama League Awards
winners were the productions
Mexodus, Liberation, Death of a
Salesman, and Ragtime, along with
individual honorees Lear DeBessonet,
Joe Mantello, and Joshua Henry. Special
honorees included Gabriel Stelian-Shanks,
David Cromer, Caissie Levy, Kamilha
Forbes, and Scott Ellis.
The awards luncheon also highlighted the
importance of producers and patrons who
support the Drama League’s
mission through attendance, ticket
purchases, tables, and donations,
including
James L. Nederlander, Nick Scanadios, John Gore, Kumiko Yoshii, Fiona
Rudin, Daryl Roth, Eva Price, Mike
Bosner, Christine Scharzman, Megan
O’Keefe, David Stone, Mark Kaufman, Leah
Lane, Joelene McCaw, Darin Oduyoye, Una
Jackman, Paula Kaminsky Davis, Patrick
