Philanthropy and the performing arts
took center stage as Bay Street Theater
& Sag Harbor Center for the Arts
welcomed supporters to its annual summer
gala, celebrating the organization's
35th Anniversary Season while raising
vital funds for its artistic
and educational initiatives.
The highlight of the elegant evening was
the presentation of the prestigious
Julie Andrews Lifetime Achievement Award
to Pulitzer Prize, Grammy, Emmy, and
Tony Award-winning creator Lin-Manuel
Miranda, whose work has transformed
contemporary theater and inspired
audiences around the world.
Guests were treated to an unforgettable
surprise when Miranda's father, Luis
Miranda, delivered a touching and
humorous tribute reflecting on his son's
lifelong passion for storytelling. The
celebration continued with an unexpected
appearance by actress Jennifer Garner,
Miranda's former co-star in Disney's
The Odd Life of Timothy Green, who
presented the
evening's top honor.
Under the artistic direction of Scott
Schwartz, the gala featured a vibrant
musical salute to Miranda's acclaimed
body of work, celebrating the creativity
and imagination that have defined his
career.
The festivities began with an intimate
VIP dinner at Le Bilboquet with Bay
Street Theater Board of Trustees;
Jennifer Bartley, David Fink, John
Frawley, Keith Green, Myra Hackel, Wendy
Harrison Hashmall, Riki Kane Larimer,
Loretta Kaufman, Carol Konner, Elise

Proceeds from the gala will help Bay
Street Theater continue producing
world-class performances while expanding
educational programs that nurture
emerging artists, engage young people,
and ensure that the transformative power
of live theater remains accessible
for generations to come.
