The Salvation Army
Women’s Auxiliary successfully hosted its 22nd Anniversary
fundraiser, Jardins du Monde, celebrating fashion,
philanthropy, and community spirit.
The shopping and luncheon event took place on Tuesday, April
7, 2026, at the River Oaks Country Club, beginning at 9:30
a.m.
The sold-out event, led by Event Chair Lesha Elsenbrook,
raised over $1,248,000 exceeding expectations and bringing
together Houston’s philanthropic community in support of The
Salvation Army’s mission to serve those in need.
The theme, Fashion Blooms- Jardins du Monde (“Gardens of the
World”), was brought to life on the runway, showcasing
fashion inspired by renowned designers such as Oscar de la
Renta, Valentino, Erdem, Etro, and Gucci. Event Leadership •

Women’s Auxiliary proudly honored Gina Saour, a dedicated
and longstanding member of the organization.
Over the years, Saour has served in numerous leadership
roles, including President, Reflections on Style Chair,
Youth of the Year Ambassador Honoree, and Jones Residence
Activities Chair.
She and her husband, Saib, recently celebrated 47 years of
marriage. Following the luncheon, the highly anticipated
Chic Boutique Showroom opened for a four-day shopping event
beginning Wednesday, April 8. The annual showroom—open only
once a year— featured a curated selection of both
“pre-loved” and new designer pieces.
Shoppers enjoyed exclusive access to coveted brands
including Valentino, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Loewe,
Zimmermann, Tory Burch, Rebecca Taylor, Staud, Cinq à Sept,
Alice + Olivia, and more. Seen in the Crowd More than 480
guests attended, including Captains Michelle and Jeremy
Walker, Cherie Lindley, Bobbie Nau, Jenny Elkins, Linda
McReynolds, Hannah McNair, Lilly Andress, Vicki West, Stick
DeLaup, Maureen Higdon, Susan Binney, Darlene Clark,
Jennifer Allison, Jane and Jim Wise, Stephanie Gillman, and
others.
