The Inner Child, reimagined
“The Inner Child is deeply significant,
not just for me but for all humankind,”
Pina explains. “It’s that stage of our
development we’re told to grow out of,
yet it remains very much part of who we
are in everyday life. It truly holds the
key to our emotional growth and
management.”
Fashion meets wellness
As both a designer and hypnotherapist,
Pina fused mind and fabric.
“I combined hypnotherapy experience with apparel to bring attention to the
inner self,” she says. “The collection
highlights aspects of the inner child
that need care in adulthood — play,
color, words of affirmation, and
self-awareness. But it also acknowledges
the lonely or neglected sides that many
of us carry.”
Challenges on the runway
“The biggest challenge was time — adults
rarely make space to nurture their inner
child in our fast-paced culture,” she
admits. “This collection was a joyful
and exciting craft that left me wanting
more time to play. Striking balance in
life is always a challenge, but this
process reminded me that adding
playfulness to fashion refreshes the
mind, eases stress, and reconnects us
with parts of ourselves we often leave
behind.”
Through “Inner Child,” Pina created more
than clothing — she delivered a runway
meditation on play, reflection, and
emotional connection, proving that
fashion can be as healing as it is
beautiful.
