As autumn settles over the Northeast,
the last horse trailers rumble out of
Bridgehampton, bound for Wellington,
Florida, where polo ponies, show
jumpers, and snowbirds alike spend the
winter season.
After a dazzling summer of equestrian
sport and society in the Hamptons, the
horses now trade salt air for palm
breezes, marking the seasonal migration
of one of the world’s most elegant
sporting traditions.

This year’s Polo Hamptons 2025,
held at the Fishel Estate, captured the
quintessential Hamptons summer moment.
The event drew 500+ guests to afternoons
of galloping ponies, pastel fashion, and
champagne toasts. Two dozen private
cabanas, gourmet lunches, and curated
shopping made it a fête where style and
sport met in perfect rhythm.
From the grass fields of
Bridgehampton’s Polo Hamptons to the
grandstands of the Hampton Classic
Horse Show and the competitive
elegance of Greenwich Polo Club,
the region’s equestrian season defines
East Coast glamour. Each event showcases
the same devotion to athletic excellence
and timeless style that unites riders,
horses, and admirers.
Now, as the Northeast cools, the players
and ponies head south, continuing the
sport’s global circuit from Palm Beach
to Buenos Aires. But the memories of
sunlit chukkers, summer whites, and
thundering hooves linger—reminding all
who attend that in polo, as in life,
grace and tradition never go out of
season. |
