Summer is too short not to play past your bedtime! Bring
your family for an evening of live music, dance, and
artmaking at the Sunset
Music Series only
at Kidspace Museum. Families can enjoy extended museum hours
and live interactive multicultural performances on select
Fridays throughout the summer, beginning Friday, June 26.
Each Sunset
Music Series event features
themed live performances, special art activities, and the
chance to explore the museum in the cooler hours of the
evening. Bring your favorite people and get ready to dance,
sing, and get a little silly as the sun goes down.
Sunset Music Series performances
are held in the Stone Hollow Amphitheater at 5:30 pm and
7:00 pm, and the museum will be open until 8:00 pm. Bring
your own picnic or purchase food from the cafe or food
trucks.

June 26, 2026 – West African Rhythms
Feel the energy of Le
Ballet Dembaya as
dynamic drumming and dance bring the traditions of West
Africa to life. This youth-led ensemble celebrates cultural
connection, community, and heritage through powerful
rhythms, movement, and song.
July 10, 2026 – Joy of Indonesia
Discover the joyful music of Indonesia with the Sounds of
Joy Kolintang and Angklung Ensemble! Featuring the unique
sounds of traditional bamboo angklung instruments and
melodic kolintang percussion, this lively performance
celebrates Indonesian culture through music, rhythm, and
youthful spirit.
July 24, 2026 – Afro-Latin Summer Jam
Groove to the sounds of Masanga
Marimba playing
traditional and popular music from Africa and Latin America.
The eclectic ensemble includes Zimbabwean marimbas, drums,
percussion, trumpet, trombone, and vocals.
August 7, 2026 – Journey through the Philippines
Experience the vibrant traditions of the Philippines with
dance group Kayamanan
Ng Lahi!
Through dynamic dance, music, and song, this interactive
performance celebrates the richness and diversity of
Filipino culture and heritage.
August 21, 2026 – Folklórica de México
Clap along as Ballet
Folklorico de Esperanza brings
colorful twills and lively steps of Mexican folk dance as
they explore cultures throughout Mexico.
The Sunset
Music Series is included
