Celebrates Día de Los Muertos
with Kidspace Children’s Museum
Special Exhibit and Program November 1-3,

PASADENA, CA - Join a celebration of life at the Día
de Los Muertos
(Day of The Dead) festivities, November 1-3 at Kidspace Children’s Museum.
The program includes music, dance, art, and a community
ofrenda where families can share memories of people and pets
who have enriched their lives.
Meet a fantastical alebrije puppet created by Kidspace
artist-in-residence Ricky Chavez, a Mexican American
puppeteer and puppet builder. Make a puppet of your own in
the Imagination Workshop. Create a postcard in memory of a
loved one and add it to the ofrenda or take it home.
Enjoy live cultural music and dance all weekend beginning
Friday, November 1 during our Free First Friday evening.
Tickets are free starting at 4:00 pm for Free First Friday,
advanced reservations are recommended and space is
limited.

Friday, November 1 | YANKUITITL
Enjoy a vibrant representation of Aztec dance with
YANKUITITL, which means New
Fire in
the Aztec language (Nahuatl)—performances at 5:30 pm and
7:00 pm.
Saturday, November 2 | Técnica Arte y
Folklore
Join Técnica Arte y Folklore for an unforgettable cultural
experience. Enjoy the colorful twirls and lively steps of
contemporary dance in Mexican folklore—performances at 11:15
am and 1:15 pm.
Sunday, November 3 | Las Colibrí
Sing and dance to the melodies of Las Colibrí, an all-female
mariachi ensemble. Enjoy their unique interpretation of
traditional sones, huapangos, rancheras, and innovative
arrangements of jazz, rock, oldies, and R&B. Performances at
11:15 am & 1:15 pm.
Día de Los Muertos celebration is included with general
