On 3 March Viva la Dance!
becomes the
latest addition to Canary Wharf’s extensive/top-quality
programme of public events. Part social night out, part
learning experience, it explores the array of dance styles
originating from Latin America, set under the stars in
Canary Wharf’s spectacular glass-covered venue, East
Wintergarden.
Dancing is one of the hippest activities around, drawing on
the success of television shows Strictly Come Dancing,
Got to Dance, Dancing on Ice and So You
Think You Can Dance. Canary Wharf Arts & Events has
created its own unique
social
dance evening, enticing active dancers, avid watchers or
simply those ready to try something new.
Sian Astrop, Arts & Events Manager at Canary Wharf Group plc
said: “Viva
la Dance!
gives everybody the opportunity to have fun, learn a new
dance style or expand their existing dancing abilities. All
levels of dancers are welcome so if you love live music and
have a passion for Latin life then this is the night for
you.”
The evening includes tutoring from Doni Fierro and Liz
Bayley, professional dance team and leading London dance
instructors, allowing dancers to learn and practice amazing
Salsa moves in a friendly and lively atmosphere. A live
Salsa band will keep things moving throughout, and a
selection of delicious themed food platters and drinks are
available.
A free glass of bubbly on arrival will ensure
Viva la Dance!
gets feet tapping and hips swaying to Latin beats.
