NEW YORK, NY - Actress and Author Leesa
Rowland announced the establishment of her new
Non-Profit Organization known as “Animal
Ashram” at an exclusive reception held on February
9, 2016, at Serafina Restaurant in New York City. The
event was attended by socialites and well known animal
advocates sharing the common goal of equality among all
living beings. During her welcoming remarks, Ms. Rowland
explained that a new reality TV series is being planned
around the mission of animal rights and the plight of
animals in need.
According to Ms. Rowland…”Animal Ashram provides grants
and funding to worthy organizations and individuals
offering sanctuary to homeless and helpless animals of
all species. Animal Ashram respects and promotes the
oneness of life and the principles of ahimsa*. Our
not-for-profit mission is to raise money for a variety
of educational and public outreach programs, provide
funding resources & raise awareness of equality of life
among all living beings.”
When asked to summarize the mission and primary
objective of the new organization, Ms. Rowland said,
“In a Perfect World, every spirit would respect the
gift of life and the joy of our time together.” Animal
Ashram will raise funds through charitable contributions
and require each contributor to support an Animal Bill
of Rights.
Among those who participated in the organizational event
were spokesmodel and actress Shawni Alexander,
cardiologist and model Luiza Petre, socialite
photographer Patrick McMullan, fashion designer Michael
Mione, actress Nicola Fiore, former Miss USA Julie Hayek
and architect Steven Sepaugh.
