Hosts Palm Beach Gala
Dinner
On Sunday, February 15th,
2026, French Heritage Society (FHS)
hosted their annual Palm Beach Gala
Dinner at Club Colette. This sold-out
affair was buzzing with camaraderie as
guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and
dancing courtesy of DJ Brett. The warm
and festive evening kicked off the
organization’s fundraising activities
for the year.
The memorable fête was
held at the behest of Gala Chairmen
Michel Kovner and Jean Doyen de
Montaillou. Dinner Chairmen
included Liz McDermott Barnes and Ben
Barnes, CeCe and Lee Black, Nancy
Place and Tom Thaler, and Jean
and Martin Shafiroff,
Welcome remarks were
given by FHS Chairman Timothy
Corrigan, FHS Events Chair CeCe
Black, and Consul General of France
in Miami Raphaël Trapp. Other
esteemed guests included New York
Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright, and
additional FHS Board Members Elisa
Fredrickson, Ken Hausman, Maureen Nash,
Elizabeth Stribling, Ann Van Ness, and Charlotte
Vignon.
Later in the evening, FHS
Executive Director Jennifer Herlein spoke
to the impact of French Heritage
Society’s Education Program, which
selects and supports undergraduate- and
graduate-level students for
career-defining internship opportunities
in France and the U.S. A record-breaking
paddle raise for this impactful program
was led by Brett Sherlock,
International Consultant at Christie’s.

benefit French Heritage Society’s
mission to preserve our shared French
architectural and cultural heritage.

Society aims to ensure that the
treasures of French architectural and
cultural heritage survive to delight,
educate and inspire future generations.
Over the past 44 years, FHS has awarded
over 700 restoration and cultural grants
to properties throughout France and in
the United States and selected and
supported nearly 600 university students
who have crossed the Atlantic for
internships at esteemed institutions. FHS
has 12 chapters, 11 in the U.S. and one
in Paris, and membership includes access
to all.
