On Monday, February 23, 2009 Mrs. Frank Perdue and Maria Snyder hosted a special birthday party for world famous psychiatrist Robert Cancro, MD, Chairman Emeritus of NYU Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Robert Cancro is considered a world leader in psychiatry having been the longest standing Chairman of the Dept. of Psychiatry at NYU for 30 years as well as the Director of Bellvue Hospital and the Nathan Kline Institute. Some of Dr. Cancro's extraordinary accomplishments are : Lucius N. Littauer Professor of Psychiatry and Chairman Emeritus of NYU School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. Director of Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research (NKI) Director of the Menninger Foundation Chaired the World Psychiatric Organization's section on Psychiatric Rehabilitaion Director of the International Committee Against Mental Illness (ICAMI) founded by Nathan Kline of the Nathan Kline Institute.
